Susanne Reul-Zastre

Music Ministry Director

Director of Music Susanne Reul-Zastre holds a Bachelor’s degree in music history from UVic, a Master’s degree in Organ Performance from Western University, an Associateship with the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO), and a Diploma in Sacred Church Music from the College for Church Music and Music Pedagogy in Regensburg (Germany). Before joining St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church as Director of Music in September 2025, Susanne worked for 30+ years at various churches in the Greater Victoria area where she selected, prepared, and offered musical components (hymns, choir anthems, prelude/postlude, liturgy etc.) for weekly Sunday and special worship services. She also conducted the choir, oversaw soloists as well as coordinated choral bursary programmes. Susanne has been especially proud to volunteer her time and talent to co-ordinate music ministry fundraising and outreach concerts for various causes. Susanne was awarded Lifetime Centre Membership by the Royal Canadian College of Organists Victoria Centre in June 2026 for her 30+ years of service in various roles on the Executive as President, Co-President, Past President, Newsletter Editor, Secretary, Member-at-Large, and as a member of the Scholarship Committee and current correspondent with Organ Canada. In the 2026-2027 season Susanne serves on the executive as a Member-at-Large.

Shannon Cummings

Office Administrator

Shannon worked in the mining industry in northern British Columbia before moving to Victoria. As the office administrator, she enjoys working together with the St. Andrew’s team, Ballet Victoria, and many other organizations and individuals within this city to create a supportive community environment. She enjoys the visual arts and is currently the President of the Victoria Scottish Gaelic Choir. In her spare time she likes to explore Victoria’s great outdoors with her partner, Justin, and their two dogs.

Grant Shepard

Custodian

Grant was born in Winnipeg and grew up on the Prairies. After graduation, he worked for a family business in Regina, and then for an HVAC business in Sales as their Manufacturer’s Agent in BC and Alberta. His sales career continued with IAQ Products and latterly, marketing ventilation equipment for Broan Manufacturing. Grant loves his work at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. He likes to see the results of his labour and enjoys helping the congregation by cleaning and maintaining their place of Worship. He says, “I have always had a feeling of being appreciated by the friendly Members of St. Andrew’s.”

Martin Perez

Webmaster

With a background in music and teaching, Martin smoothly transitioned into Web Development in 2019 by managing the Victoria Historical Society’s website and starting a new job at St. Andrew’s a year later. He completed the Applied Web Development program at BCIT in 2023 and feels excited to use his newly acquired skills in new projects to serve the community.
